Damien and his disaster response team have finished their coordinating meetings with the Department for Agriculture in Vietnam.
They are on their way to the most affected regions Bin Dinh and Phu Yen to begin distributing the emergency feed and vitamin supplements that animals such as cows, pigs and poultry so desperately need.
There is a great concern that with the flood waters disease will spread quickly and seriously affect the few surviving animals. This is why Damien and the team will be disinfecting the worst hit areas and providing emergency medicines. This will help the community keep their surviving animals fit and well so that they their overall welfare will improve as reconstruction of the communities takes place.
